The Ondo State anti-quackery task force of the State Ministry of Health and Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria has sealed up Precious Specialist Hospital Fagun in Ondo Town for training quacks otherwise called auxilliary Nurses. The hospital was sealed few minutes ago by the joint task force.



Mrs Alice Ogundele, Chairman of Ondo State Nursing and Midwifery Committee  and Director of Nursing led a team of anti-quackery  task force in the State to effect the sealing for illegal training of quacks. Precious Specialist Hospital according to social media users is owned by Dr Michael Gbala who is the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) of University of Medical Science Teaching Hospital, Laje Road Ondo



The Hospital was brought to spotlight when one of the auxilliary nurses Abayomi Funke posted pictures of newly graduated quacks in white uniform while praying for them.  This angered many Nigerian Nurses who took on various social media platforms to express their disatisfaction. The doctor took to his Facebook page latter to apologize to Nigerian Nurses but later withdrew the apology.

Meanwhile Nurses in Nigeria has taken to Social media to express their satisfaction with the new development. Many of them hope this gesture will be extended to all private hospitals training quacks and endangering the lives of the public.
